I have a Samsung Transform with Android 2.2, and I've been having this really annoying issue where I'll notice that my phone will say "No service" and won't be connected to a network. The airplane mode icon isn't displayed in the status bar, but if I go into settings, it shows airplane mode as on. If I try to turn it off, though, it just stays on without any error or message. The only way I've found to get connected to the network again is to reboot the phone.
Has anyone else had this problem? It's a pretty bad bug, since I can't receive any calls or texts, and my phone can sit in my pocket in this state for hours before I notice.

I had a similar issue for about a week with my Nexus One, but it went away quickly. It has to do with your device recognizing the hardware radios inside and software communication with them.
To attempt a fix I would back up all your music, pictures, and data. Then do a factory data reset. This should wipe out any lingering software issues.
