Question about
does the G-slate charge via MicroUSB and if so, is it a standard 5Vdc and how many amp?
I recently purchased new home and car chargers in prep for a tablets (ipad2 and honeycomb). I bought them all to support 2amp charging of either apple iPad2 or other. Just noticed the Xoom requires use of a non-standard wall charger, so hoping the G-Slate uses microUSB or at a min provides a USB cable that I can plug into my other chargers in my car and home.

Yes, the G-slate does charge via micro usb, but just like the iPad it is a trickle charge and very slow. I let my slate charge over night from 30% and it only reached 80% five hours later. For comprison, using the provided 2A charger I went from 5% to full charge in two and a half hours. I have noticed that trickle charging is not enough to keep up with demanding usage, but I easily get through 14 hour days with my usage.

It does NOT charge via USB. The G-Slate uses comes with it's own charger that provides 5.2V @ 2A with a rather thin plug.
