Question about
Does the. 4.3 update allow the vga adapter to mirror like the new hdmi adapter? Or is that a feature only for the hdmi adapter?
From what I could gather the HDMI out is the only accessory that will allow mirroring. But the good news is that the HDMI adapter will work on the original iPads.

The VGA adapter will only mirror the iPad 2 with the 4.3 update. The other iOS devices will still have the same limits to slideshows, movies, etc as well as being limited to 720p.
