Does Galaxy Nexus have Gorilla Glass?

I remember it being said there was no Gorilla Glass on the Nexus S because it couldn't be done on a curved screen. I wonder if that restriction has been overcome and if the GN will have Gorilla Glass?

I believe the iPhone 4 has made the gorilla glass argument irrelevant. Search YouTube for "iPhone 4 drop test".

Actually take a look here: www.slashgear.com/gorilla-glass-demo-plus-how-gori... they have a demo video too! They demo some gorilla glass that has slight curvature. Hmmm is there a popular phone that's coming out that demos slight curvature? It's possible the galaxy nexus does have gorilla glass. Plus it's the latest galaxy line phone... you telling me phones like the Samsung Infuse would have it, but not their premiere phone of the year? I'd say the probability is high that it does have this needed and amazing glass. Guess we'll have to wait for the official specs...even then Sammy/carriers don't always advertise it.

Gorilla Glass really matters. Just look at this iPhone4S getting crushed to death in this drop test, whereas the SGSII screen stays invincible caz of Gorilla Glass. www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&...

Like you said, since it has a similar curved screen to the Nexus S, Gorilla Glass is probably not possible. As a Nexus S owner, have you had issues with the screen? General reviews are that Nexus S has a fairly good scratch resistant screen (unless you are putting it in the same pocket as you keys). The contoured screen and raised lip should reduce the chance of screen contact should it be dropped. Maybe Samsung is trying to avoid getting pulled into the Corning trap for Gorilla Glass and hopefully they would pass that savings onto the customer.

@Mitchellmckenna I have 2 scratches on my screen (never had a screen protector). Both came from the phone falling out of my shorts pocket and down the side of my car. Have dropped it a few times and no issues really.

@omfugufmo Saw that video, you are probably right.

Found this on androidcommunity.com

There's a line in that article which states "Both phones use Gorilla Glass for their large screens, so durability shouldn’t be a problem"

Seems to have some type of reinforced glass. Maybe dragontrail instead?
