I've noticed this happening a lot over the past few months. I'll leave my desk for a few minutes, come back to my computer (screen saver not engaged) and start typing something into a text field and my computer will often ignore the first few characters.
It's really weird to start typing something like, "I dislike brussels sprouts" in an email and find out that I ultimately typed, "like brussels sprouts." As you can see, the implications are potentially devastating.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions on how to fix? Do I just type too fast for my computer? Is the computer too slow? Are Apple keyboards at fault and I should file a class action lawsuit?
Question about
Does anyone have issues with the keyboard not picking up the initial one or two keystrokes on occasion?
I have an Asus wireless keyboard that does pretty much the same thing, but it usually just misses the first letter I hit.
The conclusion that I came up with (not proven) is that the keyboard goes into some sort of sleep mode when left idle for a while. When you come back and hit a key, it wakes the keyboard back up and begins transmitting subsequent key presses to you computer.
