Does anyone has any idea what would be the street price of an used iPhone, 3G or 3GS in USA. Also what should we check before buying?

Check a few of the last iphones sold on ebay.

I wouldn't bother with an iPhone 3G at this point. It's pretty gimped next to the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. Also likely to be nearing the age where the battery could be getting worn out and not last very long.
