I think It's OK, because of the dual USB you can actually rotate the device. The plug is a little bit bulky but I like the fact that it is MINI USB so I can plug any MINI USB cable into it. Also I managed to CUT the cable in my Graphire 4 so I'm glad that in Intuos 4 you can easily replace it.

No, it's not. I have both the wired and wireless version and while I like being able to have the tablet in my lap or use it wirelessly with a notebook it's connectivity leaves a little to be desired. Compare that to the always on you get with the wired removable cord and it's a pretty good thing. Plus being able to switch the cable from top to bottom makes it so that lefties can use it easily too.

Honestly the removable cord is a bit of a drag and looking back at my purchase of this over 2 years ago I would go with the wireless now. I've heard differing opinions about the reaction times of the wired vs the wireless and for the time being the difference would logically lean toward the wired tablet as for responsiveness. But as for ease of use, I would now favor the wireless personally. I'm a bit OCD about my work space being orderly while working on a project, so the extra wire going to my laptop only adds to the clutter. This tablet is a beauty though, I wouldn't let the cord be the deciding factor of whether or not you purchase this over another brand. Again, I would personally recommend the wireless because a few of my friends who work in graphic design use the wireless to keep their work space less cluttered and it makes the tablet more portable while in range.
Good luck if you haven't made your purchase by now.
