Does anybody know the best way to clean the scroll wheel?

Compressed air? It's usually sufficient to get most jobs done. Provided that doesn't help, I would dab some isopropyl alcohol (the higher alcohol percentage, the better) on a q-tip into the scroll wheel. Theoretically it should evaporate and not damage the internals of the mouse, but y'know, try at your own risk! :D

Its an Optical Mouse? there is no wheel. Just use a dab of isopropyl alcohol on the laser. If it still doesn't work, you're probably, SOL.
