Do you think the Vita could be used with the PS3 in a manner similar to the new Wii U?

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony enabled that capability with the exception of L2 & R2 buttons the Vita has all the tech needed to talk to PS3

Well the technology certainly exists; remember they were saying you would be able to use the PSP as a rear view mirror in GT5 by linking it? That of course didn't turn out because most people can't make a PSP magically hover in front of their TV...
But the point remains, Sony could definitely do it from a technology standpoint (I believe)

This was asked before, and the answer is yes, the Vita is already intended to interact with the PS3 in a similar way:
"PS3™ Integration

Note the "compatible titles" part.

It can but few developers will support it. Unlike Wii u it's booked every game will use it. Ps3 users won;t suddely buy 50 million Vita.
