Question about
Do you think the HD7 will get the upcoming WP7 "Mango" update? Does it have the processing power to handle it?

I don't think it's a question of processing power and by all indications Microsoft intends to keep most of its WP7 devices updated for some time. When the new hardware chassis arrives, then there would be reason for the first gen WP7 devices to not receive updates.

I don't think any specifics have been released by Microsoft, but I feel like they will be trying to push Mango to all the devices they released with Windows Phone 7 so far. The Mango update doesn't look like it really has anything that would require better specs, and given the snapdragon baseline spec of all the current devices, they should all be very capable of running it.

The HD7 has been officially upgraded. A co-worker and friend has this phone and was one of the first to get the upgrade. He says the Windows Phone 7.5 upgrade has not slowed down his phone and feels faster to him.

It should definitely get it, and it seems that T-Mobile HD7s are already getting it. www.fallyo.com/2011/05/20/windows-phone-7-update-f...
Regardless, there's no reason it shouldn't get it.
