Do the Jawbone Up wake-up alarms work?

As someone who does not wake up easily the alarm is the one feature that has me looking at the Up more than the FitBit. Are you using the alarms and do they work for you?

I had a bad unit and it was erratic. The new unit does work - but it tends to wake me up at the early end of the timer..and never anywhere in between. I always set my iPhone alarm, just as a backup since I am skittish about these units failing.

I have had no trouble with it waking me up. Also it may be a placebo but I do feel more refreshed since using it to wake up. I still use my other alarm as a "backup plan"

I've had the Up for about 10 days now and after being hesitant that it would do the job during the first day or two it has proven itself reliable every day and has had a measurable improvement on my sleep quality. Just make sure the keep it charged!

I do have the Jawbone, the wake alarm is an interesting feature for me but i wouldn't depend on it as my only alarm. i have been using it the past couple days and i will admit it woke me but its been only a couple days and would give a few days before i say for sure it works but either way i still wouldn't depend on it as my only alarm clock.

My first one worked for about 10 days before dying (oh, I overslept that day because the band died at night). Waited for five days to get replacement and missed the alarm more than anything else. I love the alarm as does my wife who doesn't have to wake up to my alarm clock any longer and gets an hour more of sleep while I am out running...she's the biggest fan of it!

I've only had the UP band for 3 days and I love the way it wakes me up with the vibrations, much better than waking up to a blaring alarm clock! The downside is that it may wake you up earlier than you wanted to. There should be an option to turn this on or off.
And after hearing the reports of some of these devices having issues, you should set a back-up alarm, which in turn somewhat defeats the purpose of the jawbone alarm.
