Do PS3 games have a location based play ability?

I stay in India but all my games and stuff are from the US. If I got anything from India, would it work on my PS3?

Games in the Blu-ray discs are region-free. However access to PlayStation Network (PSN) content is restricted by regions.

That means you can easily play the games which you've got from USA.
