Question about
Dear Mr. Cook, could you please continue making the shuffle just as it is so I can buy one every 5 years or so?
While I doubt Mr. Cook will see this question, I have a feeling your sentiments are shared throughout many of the classic iPod consumer base. Even if Apple is losing money on Shuffles and Classics, it's hard for me to imagine that they would discontinue products that still have a relatively strong user base. Apple is in the business of pleasing its customers (at the expense of profit sometimes) and as such I would be very surprised if they discontinued these devices.

If they do retire the Classic I will have to go out and buy two of them. I use one now connected to my suround sound system to play my music from and 64 gigs just isn't big enough.
As for the Shuffle I always prefered the Nanos as my smallest player and with the last model adding the clip and getting smaller it's worked for me. I still preferred the previous model with the larger screen and the camera but as with anything Apple it's got to change.
