Question about
Cloud backup/storage solution?
I'm looking for an automated solution to backup files from my Windows Home Server to a remote storage service. I don't necessarily need to back the whole device up but I definitely want to get documents and pictures stored in three locations (PC, WHS & Remote). I know that few cloud storage solutions support Windows Home Server but I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with unsupported solutions. Something that can be managed through the home server console would be preferred but RDP is doable.
Addendum: Has anyone used Live Mesh to sync to skydrive?

Crashplan.
You can use it to back up to remote computers for free if you happen to have a computer/ a friend with a computer somewhere off-site and they also offer cloud backup for pretty good prices.

Windows home server is not officially supported but you can still do it. support.crashplan.com/doku.php/recipe/whs_installa...
Edit: After looking at what other people said, I still think crashplan is your best option in terms of price (unless you want to backup less than 2GB which I highly doubt). How they compare for you on features might be different, however.

The iBackup client has expressly stated support for WHS.

I use carbonite, and I have been very satisfied with it. The price breaks down to about 16 cents per day for automated backup, but you can also access your data in the cloud from another location if needed.

I'm a firm believer in dropbox. Although not the typical setup, it's a free solution, as long as the file size your intending on backing up is within approx 2gb. You can find the instructions for WHS implementation at this link: forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=2828 . Good luck!

I use iDrive to back up my WHS. I have a family account with 500GB of storage and it's working well. IDrive doesn't support the WHS console, so RDP is necessary.
It's my understanding that Live Mesh won't run on WHS, but I haven't tried.
