Charging Wakes Computer

When my Windows 7 machine is sleeping and I place the diNovo Edge into its charging cradle, the computer will wake up. Any thoughts?

You're probably hitting the spacebar when sitting it down. Be careful not to touch any of the keys while putting it in the cradle. (if you want to be safe, turn the keyboard off before putting it on the cradle.. but I don't have any issues w/ it waking up my windows 7 box..)

I tried turning off the keyboard before putting it into the charging cradle. It still wakes the computer up.

I then went into Device Manager>Keyboards>Logitech HID-Compliant Keyboard>Power Management and unchecked the box that says "Allow this device to wake the computer". This solved the problem. However, now I cannot press a button on my keyboard to wake the computer.

The thing is, I used to be able to charge my keyboard without it waking my computer. About a week ago, for some reason not of my doing (not to my knowledge at least), my keyboard suddenly stopped waking my computer up. I went into Power Management and the box was unchecked. I checked it and the keyboard was able to wake the computer again. Then last night I realized my charging problem.

I suspect these two incidents are related. Thoughts? Thanks.

I use my keyboard to wake up my pc (space bar on my dinovo edge..) - so have it checked to allow it to wake up, but haven't had any issues with it waking up when charging it under windows 7.

It's the bluetooth, when it's actually charging it turns it on, if you're using the bluetooth dongle then disconnect it if you really want it to stay on sleep, just reconnect it again after.

fourblades is absolutely right. All you have to do is just put the keyboard in the cradle before you shutdown the pc. lol, it's not that hard ;D hope that helps! -Cody
