Canon T1i / 500d Firmware Updates

I want to start an topic regarding any firmware updates from Canon. A new topic can be started when and if 3rd party firmware is created.

My current Canon T1i firmware version is 1.0.9.

If anyone finds an update please post a comment and link to it on canon's site but as of right now I see no updates.

(Interesting feature of gdgt would be an email when any gadgets you have get a firmware update)

It looks like Canon released one (v1.1.0) a couple of days ago:

www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInf...

The site mentions the following updates:
"Firmware Version 1.1.0 incorporates the following fixes and improvements.
1. Enhances the reliability of Live View shooting
2. Fixes incorrect indications on the Arabic, English, and Swedish menu screens"

I just tried it on mine and everything seems to have worked fine.

I just noticed after updating to the recent firmware that I've gotten significantly slower FPS. I have the same exact 16GB SanDisk Ultra II SDHC Class 4 card. The memory access light seems to light up and stall after only 2 shots at RAW+JPG mode, where before the firmware update I was getting the estimated 9 shots before the memory buffer was full. When I shoot in Large High Quality JPEG, it takes shots in bursts of 2, with a slight pause in between each pair of shots. Before the firmware update, I could shoot continuously in JPEG mode. Even at the lowest JPEG resolution (3.7MP) the shots are in bursts of 2 before the camera slightly pauses and empties the buffer. Has anyone else noticed slower performance?

You got me excited by the title of the post. But I already have firmware 1.1.0, it came on the camera (only got it about a month ago).
