Can you still purchase a Flip?
I see them on Amazon, of course I can buy one there, but how long can you buy one and how long will they be supported?

You can still buy Flip cameras (including directly from theflip.com) as long as supplies last. New products come with a 1 year warranty, refurbished products get 90 days. You can read the full terms of the warranty at:

Officially, Cisco has said that they will provide technical support (both in- and out-of-warranty) until December 31, 2013, as well as supporting the FlipShare software until then. The FlipShare software (used to organize and upload videos) will continue to work after that point, it just won't be updated anymore.
What is definitely being scaled back/shut down immediately is FlipShare.com, which allowed users to upload their videos to the site for private viewing by friends and family. Any videos uploaded from now on will be deleted in 30 days. That only applies to videos stored on their site, and not videos uploaded using the FlipShare software to places like Facebook and YouTube.
