can you run android apps on the N9?

I mean because I've heard of Alien dalvik does it even work? And if so can you download any android app or just selected ones?

I would say no. The N9 is running MeeGo, which is a completely different OS from Android.

The Alien Dalvik project (ability to run Android apps in a VM) is probably not happening, but there is another project that aims to bring ICS to N9. Hopefully a dual-boot option will be available.
