Can you hear the drive seek?

Maybe it's my new headphones... maybe the age of the device... or the fact that I just now noticed it, but does anyone else hear the drive seeking through the headphones when changing songs? I really only notice it if I change play-lists. categories, or next several times. It's not real bad, just something that lately has my attention.

Ive never noticed it on my 120 (glossy black).... its only 6 mo old, so that could be one thing. also, i mainly use this in my car with the SoundGate Core Zune system and i keep it fairly loud when im alone (no wife or kid in the car). I did have to install a Ground Loop Isolator in the car or engine noise bled thru. that might have killed it, too. When i do occationally listen to it over my Zune earbuds (nylon cord), i never noticed this either. (i have an 8GB Glossy Blue Flash Zune that I carry between work/home that i mainly use, that was my first Zune)

I have had my Red 80 for almost a year. I'm going to start paying close attention to it in my truck and with headsets to see if it is a loss of quality on the 'speaker' side. Another factor is that mine is running about 14-18 hours a day... :-)

yea, it's normal. you probably just never noticed it before. i heard it on my 80, i hear it on my 120, and all of my friends' Zunes have it too.

It shouldn't be too noticeable though, only really when the song is changing, etc.

For me, it seems to happen more when I'm opening a video, or something that has a large file size, such as games
