I want to know whether the battery of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 can be charged while it was being connected to the computer?

It really depends on the type of computer you have. If you're trying to charge it off of a laptop, you're probably not going to be able to - the laptop just doesn't give off enough current (usually around 500 mAh). It might work (but don't count on it) if you charge it on a desktop.
The 8.9 has a VERY similar battery to the 10.1 and suffers from the same problem.

I disagree with you, if you turn it off can plug it to your PC you can charge. Really slow but it works.
