Question about
Can't see connected computers/drives
For some reason the router won't let my computers or other components see each other. I was previously running the regular N version of this drive and everything was able to see each other, even my TiVo could find the HDD in my computer room. I upgraded to the N+ when my boyfriend moved out and now my computers can't see one another and the TiVo can no longer see the computers.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that the router is set up to be a very simple NAS but I don't know what settings I should change to fix this. Any ideas?

How are you trying to find the other computers? Are you using the computer name (e.g. typing \\[computer name]\ in to Windows Explorer, or have you tried using the IP address (e.g. \\192.168.2.X\). If your computers had host tables set up to map the computer name to the IP address, it's possible that the IP addresses changed when you switched routers. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

I had the same trouble with this router, and ended up having to switch back to my old router in order to fix it. I tried everything, and finally gave up! It's a shame, too, because the internet access was faster on the Belkin.

do your computers share the same workgroup? it may help if they all are in the same workgroup. In case you don't know, go to your start menu, right click on computer and select properties. look for the change setting link and you should be able to change the workgroup.

I had the same problem (see my review). The DHCP server is totally broken - all computers could see the Internet, but not necessarily each other. The devices that were invisible to the others didn't show up on the router's client IP table.
