Can someone persuade Microsoft to release the Courier as a product?

It would totally crush the old presumption of an old slow tablet pc from Microsoft.

There are a couple guys making a Courier-like app for the iPad called Taposé. It was a Kickstarter project that was recently funded. Hopefully it will be well done, although it won't be a Courier replacement.

There's no evidence that it ever went beyond the incubation stage, all we had was one (maybe two) awesome videos. I'd like to see some of the elements of the UI in whatever they're planning for Windows 8 on tablets, but I just think they've left the majority of the project in "incubation".

If I recall correctly, Microsoft made a firm statement awhile ago that all development on the Courier project had ceased. However, if anyone was to "persuade" Microsoft to continue development and then eventually release the Courier it would probably be investors.

The Courier was just an idea and a really cool video. It never was real.
