Can I install the Amazon App Store on the Archos 43?
This seems like a pretty good competitor to Apple's iPod Touch. It has a 720p video camera, accelerometer, and fairly good processor. But can I install Amazon's App Store? If I can, then this will will definitely be my first Android device.

Since the Archosaurs 43 doesn't actually have the stock Android app market, I doubt you can download the Amazon app store out of the box. However, like most Android devices, it can probably be rooted so that you can do whatever you want to the device.
On the other hand, if you're interested in an iPod replacement, I strongly suggest that you take a look at the Samsung's Galaxy S Wifi 4 or 5 - www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxyswifi/
They act more like a real Android device than the Archos 43.

You sould be able to install it without root. Android itself isn't tied to any one market.
