I've noticed that it can be very difficult to hear calls clearly on this phone. The volume is plenty loud, but there isn't enough pitch variance. Words like "sorry" and "silly" are indistinguishable and sound like "Smm-e". In a quiet room I can usually make it out, but with any background noise the conversation is lost. Turning to max volume only makes the problem worse, same for speaker-phone. Having the volume at four or five bars makes the voice most distinguishable, but is so quiet that it is useless in a crowded room.
Thinking I might just be having a hearing problem, I have had other folks place calls, and they all make the same comment. It's much worse when the other caller is on a mobile as well. Anyone else having this same issue or have any recommendations on how to address it?
Question about
Call Quality
I'm with you on this one Jademason
I love this phone for it's QWERTY keyboard, but to use it for a phone call makes me crazy. My parents are always asking me to repeat what I'm saying, I've caught myself pressing the phone incredibly hard against my ear in order to hear what is being said, and I think the position of the microphone (on the back of of the device) is in the best position to record everything around me, and not just my voice.
