Bluetooth MBP-to-MBP speeds?

Hey there. I'm just wondering- what's your average bluetooth file transfer speeds? My friend and I are sitting about 4 feet apart (both have MacBook Pros), and he's transferring a pretty large file. The speed is ranging from 15-45KB/sec, usually floating around the higher range.

Is this normal? What about everybody else?
Thanks!

Because of the way bluetooth works, it is not the most efficient form of transferring files wirelessly. (It uses different frequencies for different types of data trasmissions.) I recommend you update your Mac to Lion and use the AirDrop feature which sets up an Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi connection that is much faster than bluetooth in comparison. Let me know how it goes. Have a great one!
