Question about
Bluetooth in this straight up sucks.
Nearly every single time I wake my computer from sleep (or move it from the office to the living room and back), my MacBook Pro's bluetooth connection just craps out. It doesn't seem to want to remember being paired to my Apple wireless keyboard or the Magic Mouse (both of which have nearly full batteries). Basically, I have to go through the entire process of manually pairing both the keyboard and mouse to the computer. Over and over again.
It's infuriating. And I'm seriously considering just buying a wired keyboard and mouse so I don't have to deal with this anymore. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Edit: Ryan has even mentioned this before!

Yeh - i've noticed this before but since I rarely use bluetooth devices it's not been an issue for me.
A bigger annoyance along the same lines is my MBP forgetting WiFi upon sleep. It'll just stop connecting to the saved network when it sleeps and requires (the techie favourite) turning off and on airport from the menubar.

I have the same problem with a 24" iMac running leopard. Goes to sleep, and wakes up.. but the internet is bust ! Have to use the airport menu to disconnect and reconnect. Got so fed up of it that I wired an ethernet line down from upstairs. My other comp (Windows laptop doesnt have the issue so am not blaming the router)
So yeah.. its not just bluetooth.. Wireless connection issues with Apple computers run deep !

I've yet to own a laptop with Bluetooth reliable enough to use it for a mouse. So I gave up years ago and went w/ the Logitech VS Nano. It's got the smallest USB receiver I've ever seen so you can just leave it in all the time and forget about it. It sticks out a little and annoys me having to give up a port for it, but when I wake my MacBook Pro, the mouse just works.
