Question about
Best VZW option - HTC Vigor or Samsung Droid Prime?
I'm up for renewal soon on Verizon and looking to replace my HTC Incredible... which I Love. I really love Sense, not worried about the VZW bloatware, I have all along been wanting the newest HTC phone, the Vigor (or recently coined Droid Incredible HD by droid-life.com). (I know about the HTC Thunderbolt's problems and poor video, and am not dissuaded by those facts; I believe the Vigor to have solved those issues).
I know all about the Bionic and Droid Charge... not interested in Motorola or LG, just a personal preference, they are both great phones, just not for me.
My firm decision of HTC has recently become clouded by the announcement of the Samsung Droid Prime, exclusively on Verizon as the first Android 4.0 , Ice Cream Sandwich phone. I really do want Ice Cream Sandwich, and worry the Vigor may be late to receive the update. Also, the leaked renders of the Samsung Prime look awesome!
I know there are a million Galaxy S lovers out there and Samsung is a great manufacturer to be sure, but I've had such reliability and a great experience with HTC, and heard a several horror stories about Samsung, slow updates, poor build quality with the Fascinate, etc. Also, VZW is not getting the Galaxy S II.
I'm asking the loyal gdgt.com readers to tell me their great experiences (or not) with Samsung; or the Vigor to receive ICS soon... help me decide between these two super-phones. (btw, neither of the two have "tags" for me to have used in this question). Thanks!

One simple thing to consider is screen size. For me any device over 4" just feels excessive and obnoxious to use. With the Droid Prime being rumored at 4.5" I would instantly write it off. Having seen the LG Revolution in person and seen just how big 4.5" is, it's pretty damn big. If the HTC is coming in at 4, or even 4.3, I would lean towards that.
As much as specs matter for Android phones, comfort and feel matter more to me. So that is why I would stray from the Droid Prime.

Well I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the reason neither of these phones have tags yet is because both the Droid Prime and the HTC Vigor haven't actually been announced/confirmed yet. They're both rumors right now. I would wait to see how they actually turn out before setting your mind to getting one before they're even real. ;)
EDIT: As for whether the Vigor is going to receive ICS, I would assume that since it's coming out soon that it would either have 2.3 and get upgraded to ICS soon afterwards, or it would ship with ICS depending on when it actually comes out.
