Best Anti Virus

Anyone have any suggestions for an AV package for this, I use Kaspersky Internet security on the desktop, but feel it may be a bit resource hungry for a netbook, any ideas on a light but effective security package.

If you have Win7 on it, then Microsoft's Security Essentials works great and it is less resource intensive that many of the other free programs--AVG, AVIRA, etc. If you don't care to pay some money, look at ESET NOD32, probably the best on the market as rated by many tech folks and IT managers.

I second adamsjw2's suggestion with Security Essentials. I had Forefront running on my machines until SE came. SE is highly effective, and lightweight too. If you prefer not to go with another Microsoft product, check the free version of AVG. These days, I don't think that you need to pay a cent for decent AV software.

At our shop we use AVG but for older/lower end PC's we've been using MSE.

Microsoft Security Essentials. It's really lightweight, you're never aware of its presence unless it detects something. It updates automatically and also updates if you run Windows Update.
