Question about
Best Android 2.3 phone already in the market (or soon to be released)?
I think it is the Nexus S, but after taking a look at the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc today, I have my doubts. What do you think?

The answer to your question depends heavily on whether or not you're content with a skinned Android 2.3 device that will likely suffer from a lack of official updates down the road. I haven't played with the Arc yet, but I find what I've seen of Sony's skin to be poorly conceived and executed.

I really think the Xperia Arc is an awesome looking phone, both hardware and software-wise. The major drawback that I've been reading about is the bugginess in the OS - there's really nothing more frustrating than an OS that crashes and freezes. Given all that, I would go with the Nexus S. It's an equally attractive device and has stock Android, which is probably more stable than Sony's tweaked version. Another bonus is that the Nexus S is more likely to get new Android updates, probably sooner than any other phone out there.

The Sensation 4G on T-Mobile is coming soon and will be shipping with Gingerbread. HTC has a good reputation regarding updates. Features a dual-core processor, qHD screen, and Sense 3.0.

In addition to the other replies, the Xperia Arc has a lesser processor, but better screen and camera.
