Question about
Battery Problems?
I've had this computer for about a year now and I've noticed that I am not getting notifications to change my battery? Has anyone else experienced problems with this computer's battery? Where is the best place to have this replaced/fixed?
Yeah almost 2 years now I have had this laptop and about a year in I got a popup to change battery. I checked the box to not notify me anymore, and continued, but i can get what, 7 minutes time unplugged. I don't need to use it unplugged, so it remains plugged in, but I am not happy with the battery for this laptop. That said, it's a kick ass machine.

Thats pretty much what I've been doing with mine also. I wonder if keeping it plugged in all the time has caused this to happen in the first place. Any ideas?

All laptop batteries, albeit all rechargeable batteries will eventually lose their charge, the more you unplug/ charge the shorter the life of the battery. My laptop which is also about a year old only has half the battery life and my 5 year old laptop has honestly 5 secs of unplug time before it bites the bullet.
You need a new battery or a new laptop or keep it plugged in 24/7, take your pick. P.S. i just leave mine plugged in screw the new battery almost costs as much as a new laptop.

Same deal as the others, I've had mine for 2 years now and it'll last about 20 minutes on the battery if I'm lucky. Which is a shame, because it's exemplary in every other aspect. The 8600M GT overclocks like a treat too.
