Battery life?
I've heard that this thing eats batteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner though. Anyone have examples of real world battery life with this gadget?
Offtopic, but saying you just updated the firmware on your bathroom scale never gets old ;)

Every time I look at my router I see that the withings has a dhcp lease, however I just tried pinging it and it appears offline. I could ping it right when I turned it on the first time. So, it sounds like it does turn on/off it's radio to save power.
Also offtopic; my hope was that seeing my weight on a graph would encourage me to exercise more, but so far the withings body scale fell short on that. My fitbit also failed encourage me to exercise. Anyone know of a good wifi heart monitor? Perhaps public knowledge will help:

I know once it has weighed you and the progress bar reaches all the way to the right end, your weight has been uploaded to your Withings account, but I stay on to see my fat % and BMI. I'm wondering what you guys do in your home and if not staying on to see the extra data will show a considerable savings in battery life?
Then again, as some have mentioned, maybe it's just poor quality batteries that shipped with my scale.
