Audio Guide (won't turn on)

The audio guide of my Sanyo Cg10 Xacti doesn't want to function, even after turning on the guide on the menu screen, Am I missing some steps. Just got the unit 2 days ago, and now the audio guide doesn't prompt me anymore, even after turning the guide on. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
