Question about
Are you having wifi connectivity issues with the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?
I've been using the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot as my primary source of internet at home this week (we just moved and are waiting for Comcast to hook us up with service!).
I have to say, when it works, the speeds are impressive and fast. But I haven't been able to keep a solid connection to it. My phone, iPad, and computer all seem to randomly drop the connection. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's frustrating.
Apparently, there is a firmware update but it's Windows only at the moment. Is anyone else experiencing this? Have you applied the firmware update and did that fix the issue?

Firmware did not fix the issues. I returned it and re-activated my 3G mi-fi. Will wait until 4G matures and better devices come out.

I have had the same issues with both units we have here. It works great but then the connection drops and it looks like the signal is still there but I have to manually re-connect to the hotspot. I am not sure what is causing this but I had the same issue when I was trying to use my Thunderbolt as a hotspot. With the phone though I was able to see that it was having a hard time handing off between 3 and 4G. Seemed to drop signal when it would loose the 4G connection
I have not tried the update yet but may see if that does anything this week. Will post an update if it helps.

Update did not help. We were told Verizon was building another WI-FI antenna in our area. Never happened. AT&T aircard connection is just as bad. Our next shot is the Wild Blue Satellite. Cannot believe people in my area want internet so badly and for 10 years we have not been able to get it. 93238 zip.

Something that seems to be helping the connection. If I hit reload this page from my gmail the connections stays. Anyone able to tell me why this would be?

I've seen the suggestion that if you manually set the wifi channel (rather than leave it to auto selection) the WiFi issue is reduced. I haven't had a chance to test this myself but thought I'd mention it.

It seems that it stems from an issue with the device being in the vicinity of a lot of WiFi networks. The latest update a couple weeks ago didn't seem to do the trick for me. But, I've only had it for a couple of days.
I only seem to experience issues at work, in downtown Louisville, KY. I'll see what happens next week at the airport, in Chicago, etc.
