Are there shipment delays with the i7 version? What date is it actually available?

I went to the Apple Store Eaton Centre on June 16. They had every model announced on June 11 on display except the MBA i7. The Apple employee at the door said the i7 wasn't yet in stock and wasn't sure when it would arrive.

According to Apple.com, the i7 model ships in 1-3 days. I would not call that a delay.

I believe the only delays are with the Macbook Pro with Retina display due to the high demand
