Are there Lion-compatible alternatives to the Magic Trackpad?

I have an iMac and in order to take advantage of gestures in OSX Lion, I'm looking into my options. I don't particularly want to pay for a Magic Trackpad. I was thinking the Wacom Bamboo Touch (which can be had quite cheaply) might be an option, but Wacom has said that it uses a different engine and won't support Lion Gestures, at least for the foreseeable future. Does anyone know of any other options?

The Magic Trackpad is worth it. The Wacom Bamboo Touch does not nearly handle as many touch points as the Magic Trackpad. I think the $30 difference in price justifiable.

I also won't be surprised if we don't see any true competitors in this space considering Apple patents on multi-touch technology. Much like the MagSafe connector. Apple's going to keep it to themselves. Plus when new software comes out Apple will make sure their stuff will work on day 1 and you won't be waiting on 3rd parties to get their stuff updated.

I have the Bamboo Tablet Pen & Touch and was most disappointed to find it does not support 3 finger swipes and launchpad shortcuts after upgrading to Lion this morning. However, it's still a useful piece of hardware.

I have a magic trackpad and quite frankly, it is your best option. Even better, use the trackpad on one side of your keyboard and the mouse on the other side. For me, this configuration works great.
