Question about
Are there any software differences between Kindle 4th-gen and Keyboard/3rd-gen?
Is the software that runs on the 4th-gen Kindle the same as the Kindle Keyboard? It looks like xray and other new features are only on the Kindle Touch. Is a smaller/lighter device the only difference?

There are a few differences in software: Kindle 4 apart from not having a physical keyboard (so there is a d-pad) has partial refreshing of pages, so it has faster page turns, it also has screen rotation for menu and browser too (it is useful for some web pages) and there are also menus and dictionaries in French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Italian. On the other hand, Kindle 4 does not have support for audio and it has 2 GB instead of 4 GB internal storage
