Question about
anyone know if iphone headsets with the microphone will work on the HTC desire.
most smartphones work with those types of headsets...I know my Thunderbolt does, and both being HTC phones, i would be shocked if the desire did not as well.

Mostly it worked fine on my Nexus One, which I assume counted as a HTC device.

Problem is in defining "works".
Yes, we can answer/end calls (at least on stock ROM).
Yes, we can play/pause songs.
Other than that, not so much. On Oxygen's 2.3.1 I can't even answer, which is really... well..bad :-/
