Anyone know about EU availability?

This looks like the Lumia 800 I actually wanted. If it's a matter of quarters than a couple of months then I'm just going ahead with buying an Omnia W - but I wanted to know if it had a chance of being released fairly soon...?

Rumor has it that AT&T will start selling on March 18th and that the exclusive period will last 45 days. Once again this is a RUMOR and NONE of the above dates have been confirmed

Well, looks like it is definitely coming to the EU, but maybe not for a few months. I guess I'll have to see whether I can wait.

Or maybe Samsung will reveal their own high-end phone. Maybe. Who knows. The Omnia W / Focus S isn't exactly a statement of "We're committed to this platform", is it.

Lumia 900 is U.S. only device that too exclusive to AT&T. EU will only get Lumia 800 HSPA+ version. In my opinion Lumia 800 is better and safe bet for your hard earned money :-)

Not really.

I don't want the 800 as is, but rather with a full mango complement of sensors and a front-facing camera. But if the larger 900 is the only option I will take it over the Titan. Since I don't see the 800 being superceded here anytime soon, my only hope is a 900 rollout here.

Otherwise as I said I'm going with the lower-end Omnia W, which still has the measly 8Gb but at least has a full complement of sensors.

Srsly, WP7 hardware choice is incredibly hard. Not like Android where you say to yourself 'which spectastic phone should I pick, the choice is overwhelming' but because there's some piece of suckage about every handset on the market right now.

Nokia has not stated any details on the matter so not sure where you got this from, everything mentioned so far is speculation. The Lumia 800 is already being promoted in the EU, so it makes sense that within 4 months the 900 will be available.

There is no reason why the device cannot be sold unlocked and work with a chipped SIM for other markets. United Kingdom is getting 4G coverage hopefully soon so I can't see why the Lumia 900 is for US only. If it doesn't come to the EU think about how much negative backlash Nokia and Microsoft will see.

I take my words back. Initially it looked like AT&T had collaborated with Nokia to make a flagship Windows phone suitable to US (Large screen and behemoth processing power). However I cam along this (www.carphonewarehouse.com/news/coming-soon/nokia-l...) and good news is it's coming in June.

There are too many rumors about Lumia 900 availability globally. They say lumia 900 will be exclusive to at&t only for 45 days. After that hopefully we will see US unlocked and other retailers contracted devices :)
