Question about

Anyone have any praises/complaints for a Speck cover for a 15" (any color)?

Thinking of buying one, but concerned about:

1) having to clean it periodically as it is stated to be hard to remove (and can cause scratches),
2) added weight
3) overheating
4) aesthetics. does it look good? Thinking of the black or transparent one.

I had the 13' and the 15' cover for both laptops.

i noticed that on the 13' the upper left corner on the bottom half of the case (close to the "esc" key) constantly slips off. 15' has no problems with the bottom half slipping off.

You wont notice much weight to the Macbook and overheating was never an issue.

After about a year of use, i noticed that there were tiny dot size marks on the speck case that eventually caused the same do sized marks on the bottle of the macbook. The case protected the macbook from everything as far as scratches and the dot marks were extremely small and barely noticeable.

As far as looks, it adds a nice touch to your macbook. I had the Black one and it hid the nice design of the macbook and made it look like a generic HP laptop at times but it protected its condition.

All that said, I would suggest the speck case for anyone looking to keep their macbook protected.

I have 3 and on my MacBook Pros and I love them all!!! I recently purchased another cover to change the color. They are easier to keep clean and truly help protect the aluminum body from scratches, spilled liquids and sticky stuff. Also it helps you grip the computer when removing it from your computer bag.
I have an extra black cover for a 15"(2011) MacBookPro brand new in box.If u are interested let me know so we can make a deal.
Hope this helps.
