Question about
Adjusting screen brightness while running windows 7
Ok so i'm running the windows 7 RC and there seems to be no obvious way to adjust my mini's screen brightness. There are function keys for this but after wiping the default xp install and throwing win7 on, they don't work. I'm assuming there was some driver for those keys to adjust that sort of thing, but it's gone now. I don't see any control for the screen within the mobility center app or among the control panel items. Anybody have a similar problem or fix for this?? thanks
I've been using Win7 RC on mine for some time now, and the Fn keys for adjusting brightness work just fine. Like you, I performed a full wipe on install, so I'm not sure what the difference could be. Mine is the 1035NR model from BestBuy.

hmmm.. I may have a slightly different model from what you have, although i'm sure they're nearly identical in most respects. the fn keys never worked for me for either sound or screen adjustment after the wipe and install. I did have a few other driver problems with some peripherals and what not, where windows searched for the proper software for the device but just couldn't find it. maybe that's somehow involved.
Thanks for your input on this, I appreciate it! I've since changed from windows 7 to jolicloud now on my mini, so i'm not really having the issue anymore obviously. but I may change back in the future so it's good to hear from someone else on this. thanks!
