Above keyboard controls

So has anyone else had an issue with the above keyboard controls locking on boot? That would be the wi-fi, volume, etc. It seems like they occasionally lock on me when booting up. A reboot fixes it, but it's just a little annoying to have to reboot to unlock those controls on the infrequent occasion that it occurs.

You might try removing the QuickSet application and reinstalling the version found here:

support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c...

QuickSet is what Dell uses to facilitate the driver connections for the touch buttons above the keyboard, and sometimes reinstalling QuickSet can resolve your problem. The above link is for Vista 64-bit, but there are versions for 32-bit Vista and both types of Windows 7 architectures on Dell's support site as well. This is where I would start.

No, the only time i have noticed this happens is when vista will freeze, which requires a reboot, other than that i have not had that problem.
