where can i locate the version and serial number of the i touch 1st gen phone
I'm not sure whether you're talking about an iPod touch or the iPhone. Either way, you can find out the iOS version number and the device's serial number in iTunes. Connect the device to your computer; it'll appear in the sidebar in iTunes and the Summary tab will display that information.
