Question about
A couple of months ago this phone began to behave as if the touch screen was constantly being touched.
I discovered that the touch sensor layers appear to be pressed together in a small area on the right side of the screen in the middle. This shortens the battery life dramatically. I have to keep it charging almost constantly. Does anyone know any tricks to fix this? I could try putting it in a bowl of uncooked rice but I don't think it's moisture. The phone has not been exposed directly to water and certainly not submerged. In a couple of months I will be eligible for an upgrade so I might have to live with it until then.
If you enV touch is anything like mine, your screen may be slightly bent inward. I'm guessing that could cause your issue?

I think I recently started having the same problem. I noticed my phone had:
- Shortened battery life
- Dialed numbers while in my pocket
- Deleted a number of ringtones
