Question about
3G iPad 2 and GPS with MiFi™ 4510L
I am interested in getting one of these MiFi™ 4510L devices because of our multiple devices. However, I would like to know if I use this MiFi™ 4510L with my iPad 2 (with wi-fi enabled but 3g disabled) will I still have GPS capabilities? Thanks.

Yup! The 3G iPad has an actual GPS receiver built into it and it will work without a cellular data plan.
The wifi only iPad uses a database of wifi MAC addresses, so it can only really locate you if you're connected to some sort of wifi network (be it home internet or a MiFi router). Also, the accuracy of this location using wifi-only triangulation is pretty bad.
