Cisco's new Flip MinoHD is a slim, attractive, simple-to-use pocket camcorder that takes good-looking video. But its chunkier sibling, the Flip UltraHD is less expensive and delivers more.

It's a shame Flip Video hasn't chosen to boost the pixel count or add a still photo option, but the latest version of its MinoHD is still a great little camcorder that's easy to use and small enough to take anywhere.

Sure it does look good, we'll give it that – we certainly wouldn't climb over the MinoHD to get to the UltraHD, and the video quality is great, but we still don't think that's enough to warrant the extra £20 on top of an already high asking price.

Designed for those that would just like to fire and forget when it comes to shooting video, the Mino HD certainly hits its target, but with a new range of more versatile devices on the market, it isn’t the automatic first choice any more.
