Detailed review
The hardware itself is nice, and the design is impeccable. In using it with the game Sonic CD, though (on a Nexus 7), I noticed that after a few minutes the responsiveness of the buttons and directional pad became sluggish (often with a second or two delay), which is problematic for gaming.
I bought this under the impression it would work with any Android game on my device, which is NOT the case. The packaging states it uses Bluetooth and that installing Moga's free Pivot app will allow access to "MOGA Enhanced Games." However, nowhere does it say that ONLY these "enhanced games" will work with the device.
Granted, my copy came with a free copy of Pac-Man and Sonic CD, but I expressly purchased this hoping to use it with several other games I have from the Google Play store and Amazon App Store that have on-screen "gamepad" features that would benefit from a hardware gamepad.
One bright point is that there appear to be games already available in the Google Play store that are "MOGA Enhanced" by default, including games from big-hitter Gameloft (The Dark Knight Rises and Asphalt 7). Here MOGA does a good job within their own store by noting, right at the top of the description, that these games work by default and do not need to be repurchased. This is nicely implemented, actually: these games automatically show up in your installed game list in the MOGA Pivot app. If more games get "enhanced" for the MOGA gamepad, this implementation will work well.
All in all, I wish MOGA had been more upfront on their packaging that ONLY games listed and made available through their store would work with the device.
