The Polaroid Internet Kids Tablet (PTAB750) is a real working tablet made for children. Notably featuring side and rear rubber bumpers to protect it from accidents, a Baby Switch feature to disable the touchscreen if needed, and lots of preloaded child-friendly content, this tablet is tailored to younger users. Powering it all is Android 4.0 with a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and finally 8GB of internal storage with the option to expand via a built-in SD card slot. The tablet is available now for $149.

This seven-incher features a rugged rubberized design -- in fact the company didn't flinch when we dropped it twice during the video hands-on that you'll find after the break. The buttons are big and easy to press, and tablet looks fairly easy to clean after the inevitable PB&J smears.
