Invaluable for road trips
details
I just took an 11-day road trip, driving from California to Utah to Minnesota, and back via Arizona. During my trip, I was concerned that using my smartphone for email and Twitter would result in roaming charges, so I turned it off when I wasn't in large cities where I figured Verizon had coverage. On the highway in between, I used my Peek Pronto to keep in touch. It almost always had a signal, and I was able to check email, use Peek's associated search features to find hotels and... Peek-alike but Wifi?
details
I currently have a Motorola Q9 and I love this form factor but I want to move away from using my phone as my email device (ie, I want to have two devices). Is there anything like the Peek that uses WiFi instead of cellular?

Good for kids?
details
I want to get a simple, somewhat "safe" device to communicate with my preteen brother while on the road. Can anyone offer an opinion on whether or not this might be the ideal device for a young teen? If not a Peek, maybe ideas on some other device? I'll be paying for the plan, so service should be cheap, and I want to limit who he can "talk" with as much as possible.

Tether
details
Anybody found a way to tether these things? I'm not looking to use a ton of bandwidth, but the ability to get online on the go every once in a while would be greatly appreciated.

The web site seems to beat around the bush about twitter integration making it sound possible, but the fact that they're not trumpeting twitter makes me suspicious. This page makes it look promising, but without having one I can't tell. * http://stroud.freehostia.com/peek.html Is anyone using peek with twitter? What all can you do on...

International Support
details
I know that it may be a vast concept.. But seeing as these pieces of gadgetry work through cellular type connections in the US, would it be all that hard to bring them to an international market? I'm from Canada and would love the thought of having the chance to own one of these, just not with the $20 US monthly fee. Anyone want them to bring back the full priced device with free service for life? Heh, I sure as hell do.
