If you're looking for the cheapest way to get onto AT&T's speedy 4G LTE data network, the Pantech Burst is one way to go: originally priced at $50 with a two-year contract, it's now available for free, and is a capable, entry-level Android smartphone. However, the Burst has a smaller, lower resolution display than many similar smartphones, as well as a less-capable camera. And competition has pushed down the prices of more versatile phones, including the HTC Vivid, which has a better camera and screen, and which is now available for free from some sellers.
