That said, if its £750 price really is all you can stretch too and you don’t mind keeping ambient light levels low when watching the set ‘in anger’, then the P50UT50 is a cracking cinematic budget option.

Overall a fantastic TV especially for the money. Performs well on both 3D and 2D. My main issue with this TV is in order to enable ARC you have to enable VIERA Link, which automatically switches the input on my receiver when i switch inputs on the TV.

Purchased this Plasma March 10th from Costco for $810 out the door with a 5 year warranty from Square Trade. Love the picture quality. Only drawback as with all plasmas is the reflection from ambient light. I keep the blinds drawn. CNET.com offers details for custom picture settings.
